in the top 2 percent of hospitals in the United States. Nancy loves her
job and loves being a nurse. “Getting a BSN is one of the best things
I’ve ever achieved in my life,” she said.
Nancy said, “I am so proud to be a TCU Horned Frog alumnae. I am
very proud of the University and the successful reputation of Harris
College of Nursing & Health Sciences. My husband John and I have
fully funded a nursing scholarship at TCU: the John and Nancy Kritser
Endowed Scholarship in Nursing.” John and Nancy have both been
active on TCU’s national alumni board and go to just about every
football game. As she notes, “Every game is away for us!”
Kimberly Kizziah Bocell ’98 (BSN)
was named
a shareholder of her law firm, Chamblee, Ryan,
Kershaw & Anderson in December 2012. Kimberly
earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of
North Carolina School of Law in 2003. Kimberly’s
law practice is focused on assisting health care providers in all facets
of health law, including defending health care providers in medical
practice litigation and in front of their respective professional boards,
as well as assisting with practice issues, business disputes, HIPAA
compliance and a host of other health law areas. She also writes a
blog for

legal
issues:

are expecting their second child in November.
2000s
Katandria Love Johnson ’00 (SLP) (MS ’02)
recently
returned from two weeks in Rabat, Marrakesh, Tangier
andCasablanca, where she attended a People toPeople
International’s (PTPI) Educational and Humanitarian
Initiative to Morocco. Johnson, a member of PTPI
since 2011, participated in activities designed to help
strengthen the organization’s global presence, and spent several days
doing site visits to local orphanages, residential facilities for mentally
and physically disabled, schools and cultural centers. Katandria also
participated in delegations to the Baltic states, Cairo and Cuba. Her first
experience with these international community activities was being
nominated to participate in a People to People Citizen Ambassador
delegation on Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology toVietnam
and Cambodia.
Katandria is a Fort Worth native who has been actively involved
in providing healthcare and community service at the local, state,
national and international levels as a multi-lingual speech-language
pathologist, linguist, and social and behavioral health researcher. She
is CEO and owner of K&K Services, whose professional work has been
recognized by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association,
American Public Health Association and featured in
BusinessWeek
magazine.
TCU’s Ronald E. McNair Scholar and undergraduate bilingual speech-
language pathology graduate programs prepared Katandria to serve
on numerous committees and research publications throughout
her professional career, working to improve health care services for
multicultural populations with special health care needs. She has
expanded those skills gained from her TCU academic and clinical
training to volunteer consultation services inMexico, andwas featured
in the American Speech-Language Hearing Association’s
Leader
.
In addition, TCU’s Communication Sciences and Disorders and
International Study Abroad and Exchange programs helped Katandria
sharpen her skills working with culturally and linguistically diverse
populations with special health care needs. Recently honored by
the Tarrant County Fort Worth Minority Leaders & Citizens Council,
she is most proud of her commitment to serving the local and
international communities.
Melissa O’Neill ’01 (BSN)
became certified in Neonatal
Critical Care. She has started Newborn Nightingales, a
company that provides help to new moms and families
with newborns. After 12 years of neonatal and L&D
nursing, she discovered a need for quality in home
newborn consulting and newborn care. Additionally,
O’Neill offers private, in home, Moms on Call Sleep Consultations.
She writes, “I am so excited to help parents establish a nurturing,
caring and calm environment. I love empowering parents with the
knowledge and information they need for parenthood.” O’Neill is
thankful to be back in Fort Worth after moving around the country
with her husband while he was in the Army and then law school. “I
love the TCU community and of course, Harris College, for opening so
many professional doors for me. All around the country I would run
into frog alums!” I received my BSN at TCU and then became certified

James Louis Allbright was welcomed with joy
and love on Nov. 29 by

and husband Greg. Emily works for Girl
Scouts of Northeast Texas as the director of Major
Gifts. The Allbright family resides in Frisco, Texas.
Patti Morfeld ’03 (BSN)
was recently chosen to
represent UNC Healthcare as Oncology Nurse of
the Year. She says she remains forever indebted to
the faculty and staff at Harris College of Nursing. “I
can safely say that enrolling at TCU was one of the
best decisions I’ve ever made. My professional life
continues to blossom, and I owe so very much of my continued
success to the teaching, learning, and overwhelming support I
received as a returning adult student with two little obnoxious boys
in tow.” Morfield thanks the professors and instructors who helped
her learn the basics as well as develop and hone the critical thinking
skills that make the difference between a nurse and a clinically
competent nurse.
Jessica Hill ’04 (BSN)
, a nurse at Texas Health Harris Methodist
Hospital Southlake, was honored in May as a FortWorth Business Press
40 Under 40.
Debbie Pronitis-Ruotolo (MSN ’04)
RN writes, “I
can’t believe it’s been a decade since I made the leap,
and received my master’s in nursing from TCU. That
master’s program was the first online nursing
program at TCU, and it’s made such a difference in my
professional life as a nurse. My degree prepared me
for many more arenas than just clinical in nursing.”
Debbie’s first project out of graduate school was to assist her
hospital (Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, a hospital in
the Texas Health Resources health care system) in its application for
