ACCOLADES
Linda Moore, a long-time TCU social work faculty member, instilled in him
a passion for social justice and community involvement.
Francine Esposito Pratt, Brian’s field instructor for his master’s field
placement at the Northside Inter-Church Agency (or NICA), challenged
him and helped him build his confidence as a social worker.
Glenn’s sister, Christie Glenn ‘84 (MS ‘92), a lawyer and the executive
director of the Domestic Relations offices of Tarrant County, sparked his
interest in diversity issues and politics.
Dr. Priscilla Tate, Brian’s mother, associate dean of AddRan during Brian’s
youth, taught him to treat everyone with dignity and respect and to fight
prejudice and discrimination.
Brian’s wife, Fran Huckaby (M.Ed. ’96), associate professor of education, is
the kindest person he knows. She keeps him grounded and inspires him
with her commitment to social justice.
When asked how he would summarize his career to date, he said,
“Throughout my career, I have always sought inclusivity and celebrated
diversity. One thing my experiences have taught me is how to navigate
complexity in an increasingly connected world and my social work skills
have givenme a leg up on this path. As globalizationmakes us more inter-
dependent, we must all take on a broader social responsibility. As social
workers, we are in a good position to be leaders in this cause. The Social
Work program at TCU prepared me to do all of these things.”

leadership at programs conducted in England, Japan and the United
States.” The leadership and management acumen of charge nurses and
